Your teacher has asked you to write an article for the school magazine providing solutions to the problem of energy waste (50-100 words). In your article:

       • state what the problem is.

       • explain the causes and effects.

       • say what we can do to help solve the problem.

     Use the ideas below to help you write your article.

CAUSES:.......... • high world population   • lots of electrical appliances in homes

EFFECTS:......... • high energy bills   • fossil fuels are disappearing

SOLUTIONS:.... • turn off electrical equipment   • use fluorescent light bulbs  
• turn the heating down and wear more clothes in winter
